Dao Yin YogaÂ
A Preview...
Dao Yin is a slow, therapeutic somatic experience that weaves in the cultural wisdom of Chinese meridian healing, ancient philosophy + practices of Eastern Yoga, and the multi-faceted layers of being human. This anecdotal practice offers students the opportunity to shift into an introspective, meditative state, developing intuitive awareness and deep listening within.
In many therapies, it is widely known that the âedgeâ is the most potent place for transformation.
Emphasis is placed on inviting the wisdom of the body/mind to reveal itself through holding poses, or âshapesâ for a safe amount of time, as well as becoming aware of the different energetics within. The Yogi is guided to come into a âsafe edgeâ within each shape (pose), and tune in to the observable and subtle body/mind sensations, cues and personal experience. Props are used to support the safety of the body to surrender, to open lines of energy, and to hold space for whatever is ready to unfold. without judgement or resistance.
